Pickled to Perfection
This mishloach manos is so pretty and healthy too!
A healthy vegetable or fruit mishloach manos can be prepared in so many beautiful ways just like Mason Jars Galore, Vegetation Presentation, Tickled Pink, We've Got Soup, Acai On The Go and Eye Catching Fruit Cups.
I always thought that pickling vegetables required a long and drawn out process. That is, until I actually tried it for myself. In all actuality, pickling vegetables is extremely easy, quick, and a great way of bringing new taste to your veggies!
We love the fact that pickled veggies can be prepared way in advance.

I made the pickled turnips and cauliflower and bought the olives.
You will need:
- Three 8-oz clear plastic storage favor jars
- 7.4x4x2-inch macaron box
- zesty olives
- pickled turnips and cauliflower (recipes below)
- ribbon
- tag and labels
Directions:
Fill jars with olives, pickled turnips, and pickled cauliflower. Make sure the covers are closed tightly.
Arrange inside your box. Attach ribbon and labels.
Keep the boxes in an upright position.
Pickled Turnips
1 beet, cut into small pieces
2 large turnips, cut into pieces
2 cloves garlic
⅔ cup vinegar
2½ Tbsp table salt
3 cups boiling water
Directions:
Combine the ingredients in a large container and let sit a couple of days.
Once pickled, transfer to smaller containers.
Pickled Cauliflower
- 1 container fresh cauliflower, cut into florets
- turmeric, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic
- ⅔ cup vinegar
- 2½ Tbsp table salt
- 3 cups boiling water
Directions:
Combine the ingredients in a large container and let sit a couple of days.
Once pickled, transfer to smaller containers.
